I have been fortunate to visit many great courses throughout the World and Notts ranks as one of the best I have played. The tranquility and feeling of space is awesome, and the back nine was memorable. I thought I had a good score going after nine holes, then the course got its revenge!! I will be telling my friends back in the States all about Notts as I only ended up here on the recommendation of a group of UK golfers I met last year when playing in Scotland.

I play a lot of golf, have represented the Sheffield Union over 20 times and thoroughly enjoyed the fair test your course provides. Thank you for a perfect golfing day.

Just a brief note to thank you so much for the wonderful day our members and I enjoyed at your wonderful Club. The Course was in splendid condition and those who had played it before were unanimous in their praise in that they had never known it in better shape. Two of our Past Captains said their previously held view that it was amongst the top 5 inland courses in the country was more than confirmed-and those taking part who had never played it before were all urging me to make a quick return!

With our 2010 Tour now over, I thought that I would drop you a line of thanks on behalf of the Beaconsfield Boys On Tour Golfing Society following our visit last week. Everyone made us feel so welcome. The course was a joy, which when combined with excellent weather, good food & drink coupled with warm smiles from staff and members alike, how could we not have had a wonderful time?

Hollinwell is not a good course – it is an absolutely fantastic one! Very rarely has a course kept my interest on every shot and I have played around 80 of the Top 100 courses in the UK. There really are no weak holes after a gentle opener, all are very different and the course just builds and gets stronger as the round develops. I will return!!

Thank you so much for allowing our members the privilege of playing this year’s Championships at the wonderful Hollinwell. Virtually to a man, all the players stated that these 72 holes off the blue championship tees was probably the most demanding, yet fair and enjoyable test of golf they have experienced. I am sure that we will return again in the future.
