Joined Notts from our neighbours Coxmoor early 2003. Brians friendly and efficient nature have soon made him friends amongst members and visitors alike. A native of Nottinghamshire, Brian played both junior and colts golf for the county and has been a life-long member of Newark GC.

Philip StainPhilip Stain

Course Manager

Joined Notts straight from school on a youth training scheme in 1983 and over the ensuing years gained qualifications in sports turf management from Brackenhurst College Southwell and Askham Bryan College York. Promoted to Course manager in 1995. Philip's life is Hollinwell and I am sure you will agree the course is a great testament to his skills and enthusiasm.

Came to Notts some 25 years ago and learned her trade under the redoubtable Aubrey Hubberd. On Aubreys retirement in 1991 became catering manageress. One of Junes claim to fame is the creation of the renowned Hollinwell treacle tart, a must for pudding buffs, also on offer are a large range of snacks and meals. Mike BradleyMike Bradley

Golf Professional

Joined Notts as our pro on April 1st 2004 having served his time here under the multiple European Tour winner and Ryder Cup player Brian Waites. In the intervening years Mike was the Pro at Keighley GC. Mike is a fine player, he made the leader board of the 1997 open at Troon, and a gifted coach to players of all abilities. The modern pro shop at Notts is very well stocked and Mike and his staff will make all our visitors welcome.

Simon Illingworth who joined Notts in 2005 after serving his time running a large social club, prior to working in the licensed trade Simon was an assistant professional golfer here at Notts working under Brian Waites. There we have it the perfect Golf Club host Simon certainly knows how to keep a cellar and is still a very fine single figure player.
